Onibaba or &#8220;demon hag&#8221; is from a Japanese folklore myth (or yokai), i came across it while i was researching about chinese/jap mythologies during the early stages of pre-production and then stumbled across the story of the onibaba and liked it quite a lot so then i started reading and researching stories on it and soon decided it would be a good inspiration for my story. We had two themes to pick from, one was break-in and the other was escape. I chose escape.
