In reply to Tofu Kozo. I've seen lists in Japanese, but not in English. The trouble is the yokai don't all have names, and depending on the version of the story the list changes quite a bit, so there's not really anything that can be called the definitive list.

Fantastic, Matthew! I love Japanese folklore depicting the supernatural, especially when it’s local legends which are not even famous for the Japanese! I often encounter this phenomenon here. Looking forward for A-Yokai-A-Day for this month! Gambatte〜！
