I’ve gotten back to doing some fantasy artwork recently, and I ended up getting involved with a new publisher called Nevermet Press. They’re publishing system non-specific RPG products, and I’m one of the artists producing some work for them. It’s fun, and my first piece went up today at this site. You can read the story behind the picture there.

Hobo Dwarf
I felt like drawing a dwarf. And I thought I would do more than just doodle, so I decided to change this Norman Rockwell painting into a dwarf. Instead of a dog, there’s a dragon-like thing. Instead of a newspaper, he has a treasure map, and instead of a satchel he has a bag of treasure. Oh, and of course he’s cooking raw meat instead of sausages. Good ol’ dwarfs! If I have time later I may paint it as well.

Hanamachi
It’s been a long time since I made a new chicken. Too long, in fact. So it was necessary that one of my first paintings since quitting must be a chicken. Actually, I painted this last week but it’s taken this long to dry. I’m entering it into an art content this weekend, so I was able to finish it just in time. Anyway, here is the next in the Chickens of the World series: Hanamachi.
